Firstly Rob you have a point, but I for one would like to read what people
have to say.
Secondly we are in a recession. Getting jobs in general is bad, but the IT
sector, which GIS is partly to do with, has taken a nose dive. This has made
it an employers market. I have been looking for alternative employment for
sometime now and I have noticed that the jobs have reduced and wages have
come down. I have also recently been made redundant and due to the lack of
GIS jobs I am looking at changing my career path and leaving the GIS career
behind. There are too many GIS graduates and not enough positions.
