The Institute for the Study of International Development is pleased to invite you to its 2017 Annual Conference, ‘Questioning Crisis: Forced Migration in Theory and Practice,’ taking place March 15 and 16, 2017 at the McGill University Faculty Club, 3450 McTavish.

The UNHCR has documented 65.3 million forced migrants worldwide, the highest numbers since World War II. Does this contemporary condition constitute a ‘crisis’ or ‘global emergency’? How should humanitarian organizations, international institutions, and states such as Canada respond to the people behind the statistics?
For the conference program, see here: https://www.mcgill.ca/isid/events/2017-annual-conference-forced-migration/conference-program

Join ISID for a keynote by François Crépeau on March 15th, followed by a day-long conference on March 16. Registration is free and not mandatory, but much appreciated. To register, please click here: https://www.mcgill.ca/isid/events/2017-annual-conference-forced-migration/conference-registration
