Can I ask how other organisations store large quantities of photographs?
Over the years our marketing department have built up a large library of photographs (10s of 1000s) which are spread across external hard drives, network drives and OneDrive amongst other locations. This is an impractical way of keeping the data especially when considering the ability to back up and comply with data protection requests.
Can anyone share best practice of how to save large and growing photo libraries in a central location with the ability to store photo consent forms alongside, while also having the library manageable to comply with subject access requests and rights to erasure.
Is the college file server or shared OneDrive the way to go or is there a cloud based system people would recommend.
All input is much appreciated.
