I had issues with Turnitin but it was related to using F5 loadbalancers
and SSL offloading. When you SSL offload, it seems Turnitin still
requires to open an initial connection on port 80 (before moving to SSL)
which the rewrite rule won't allow. We've got it resolved now by writing
an iRule (F5's proprietary interface) to not rewrite anything if traffic
comes from Turnitin UK's IP range.

Hi Chris,
BB: 7.3.216.0
OS: Solaris 10 using Tomcat
We can access this area and I can see the config files including a
couple of files dealing with header requests but I'm not confident
enough to edit them without some advice from Turnitin. Anyway, I'm not
sure this entirely explains things because everything works on our test
server and this is an identical installation.
I'll let you know any more details as soon as I hear back from
TurnitinUK - if you could keep me informed, I'd be very grateful.
Regards,
Neil
PS I don't know whether we could be the 'other client' - we only logged
this job on Thursday last week.
