Hello
I wonder if anyone could advise us as to how long we should keep customer copyright declaration forms? We have several boxes of such forms dating from 1995 to 2004 that have come up for review under our Records Management system. They're the declaration forms that customers fill in and sign when photocopying or photographing documents amongst our holdings and state that permission must be sought from our service before publishing any such images and that they agree to such terms. We initially thought the forms may need to be kept for 7 years but we're wondering now if that's sufficient. What do other Heritage/Record/History offices/centres do?
Any advise or thoughts on the subject would be gratefully received.
Regards
