Salary: (inclusive of London allowance): Grade 7: £39,353 - £42,701 per annum or Grade 8: £43,884 - £51,769 per annum. Appointments at either grade currently qualify for an additional market supplement of £7,000 per annum (to be reviewed every 2 years)
A new position is available as a lecturer in Medical Statistics at the Department of Statistical Science, University College London. The postholder will closely work with the Biostatistics Group as well as develop their own research programme and contribute to the departmental teaching activities. The Biostatistics Group collaborates with health researchers across a wide variety of studies and also develops cutting-edge statistical methods in diverse areas such as risk prediction, trials methodology, analysis of correlated data, health economic evaluation and multistate models.
Candidates should hold or be close to submitting a PhD (or equivalent qualification) in statistics, or a closely related field. It is essential that the candidate has a proven ability to carry out high quality research in biostatistics methodology and collaborative health studies and to construct and deliver lecture courses on topics relevant to the needs of the Statistical Science Department.

UCL operates a Relocation Scheme for newly appointed academic staff who relocate their home to take up their appointment. This includes a relocation supplement of £10,000 (£20,000 for those relocating from outside the UK). The department will also provide a start-up fund of £6,000, available for the duration of the probation period.
