I agree EGOS is a much more interesting prospect - my sense is that a wider range of approaches are encouraged. Sub themes 14 Art, Design and organisation and 38 Remembering embodiment and organisation are two examples next year.

I would like to announce that the Call for sub-theme proposals for the 28th
EGOS Colloquium 2012 in Helsinki, Finland, has now been posted on the EGOS
website.
To view the Call, please go to the EGOS website, www.egosnet.org, and click
on "EGOS Colloquium 2012, Helsinki" on the left-hand navigation.
Alternatively, you can click on the link in the grey box on the right-hand
side of every page of the website.
Please note that from this year sub-theme proposals should be submitted
online via the EGOS website. The link will be posted shortly on this page.
The submission period is as follows:
Uploading of sub-theme proposals starts: November 15, 2010
Deadline for the submission of proposals: January 21, 2011
