Dear UTSG members,

The 23rd International Congress on Modelling and Simulation (MODSIM2019: http://mssanz.org.au/modsim2019/) will be held at the National Convention Centre in Canberra, Australia, from 1 to 6 December 2019. Paper submission and registration is open now. This year a session “New Trends in Modelling and Simulation of Future Mobility” is organised at MODSIM2019. Details of this session can be downloaded from the link below:

------ Session Scope ------
The rapid development of electric vehicles (EVs) and autonomous vehicles (AVs) with recent advances in information and communications technology (ICT) and big data brings us new possibilities for modelling and simulation of future person and freight mobility. These opportunities come with challenges such as better utilization and fusion of various data sources (like transit smart cards, social networks, GPS, shared mobility), more flexible public transit services, more integrated mobility services with multimodal transport systems, and more efficient freight mobility solutions. Such opportunities have led to new trends in transport modelling and simulation: (1) moving from traditional instruments such as household travel survey or questionnaire to multi-dimensional data sources, (2) innovative mobility-as-a-service (MaaS) developments, (3) electric, automated and connected transit and freight delivery service design, and (4) tailored services for special groups of travellers like seniors and youths. We invite original research papers in line with one or more of the aforementioned challenges and trends. Specific topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
• Individual mobility and choice behaviour modelling
• Large-scale network modelling and simulation using trajectory data
• Innovative MaaS design
• Synchronization of multimodal transport system
• Planning and operation of electric, connected and autonomous bus
• Carsharing and ridersharing
• Parking management
• Future freight mobility solutions for city logistics

------ Submission ------
Manuscripts should be submitted via Ex Ordo (details can be found on webpage). Please refer to the Instructions for authors and presenters for more detailed information to prepare your papers. If you need help, please send an email to [log in to unmask]

------ Important Dates ------
• Submissions and registrations open: 1 March 2019
• Full papers and extended abstracts submission deadline: 31 July 2019
• Notification of acceptance: 30 August 2019
• Early bird registration by: 30 August 2019
• All presenting authors registration by: 4 October 2019
