The Florence School of Regulation - Transport Area (FSR Transport) is looking for a research assistant to join the team based in Florence, Italy.
The post holder, reporting directly to the Area Director, will contribute to the core activities of FSR Transport.
Main tasks include:
- Perform analytical and research tasks on topics related to transport, transport regulation, network industries, etc.;
- Design and coordinate workshops, executive seminars and conferences in the areas of transport, network industries and digital platforms and draft and edit briefs, reports and summaries;
-Liaise and further develop the network of partners and experts and coordinate with relevant stakeholders such as the European Commission, regulators, transport industries, etc;
-Provide further assistance and perform additional tasks related to communication, dissemination and planning and development of research and policy activities.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a field relevant to the position: e.g. politics, economics, law;
- PhD in an area related to the FSR Transport activities is an asset;
- Excellent analytical, writing and communication skills;
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in the area of transport or other network industry sectors;
- Excellent knowledge of EU institutions and policy making;
- Ability and willingness to further develop the knowledge of/ learn about transport and network industries;
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to set and meet deadlines;
- Excellent ability to work in a team and to take initiatives.
