Yesterday, we released oneminutetrafficdata, an R package for the conversion and analysis of the one-minute MIDAS data for the English motorway network (SRN). This helps with:
* Batch reading and conversion of *.tcd files
* Aggregation (e.g., so you can get 15 minute data for each lane, rather than what's available via webTRIS)
* Estimated percentile speeds
* Conversion of log files so that historical variable limits and VMS messages can be viewed alongside speeds and flows at that time for that link.
It is available here: http://www.racfoundation.org/research/mobility/one-minute-traffic-data
Comments, feedback most welcome.
