Opportunity for a PhD studentship for UK residents in the area of transport policy, air pollution, and health
Interested in doing a PhD in the area of transport, air pollution, and health? If you are a UK resident, apply for an EPSRC-funded PhD studentship to work on exposures to air pollution in travel microenvironments. The student will be based at Imperial College London in the Centre for Environmental Policy, and co-supervised by Dr Audrey de Nazelle (Imperial College) and Dr Ben Barratt (King's College). The PhD project will build on other funded projects to conduct primary data collection of air pollution concentration in travel microenvironments, and assess air pollution exposures intakes as a function of activity patterns and associated health impacts. The goal is to estimate health impacts of transport policies aimed at changing travel behaviours. The PhD must start on 1st October 2018 and includes a stipend at Research Council Rate (around £16,533/year), home fees and an annual £1000 towards conferences and training.
If interested, please contact Audrey de Nazelle: [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> before August 20th. The applicant will then need to apply through a standard online application<https://www.imperial.ac.uk/study/pg/apply/how-to-apply/> route before September 15th.
