The Transport Studies Unit (TSU) at the University of Oxford is seeking an experienced academic to strengthen its reputation of international research excellence and its capacity to lead research activities focusing on urban transport and mobilities. The successful applicant will be a recognised authority in research on urban transport and mobilities. They will be responsible for managing their own specialist grant funded research projects, for leading a team of researchers who will be working with them, and for contributing to the strategic development of the wider TSU.
They must have a relevant PhD/DPhil, together with significant post-qualification research experience. They will have an established international reputation in the analysis of urban transport and mobilities and will have demonstrated the ability to deliver research projects that develop world-leading substantive insights, theory and/or methodology in that field. They will also have a record of high-quality publications in highly rated scholarly journals as well as experience of managing research budgets and of leading a team of research staff.
The post is full-time for 3 years in the first instance, with an option for renewal for 2 years.
