The lived-experience of Para-athletes and visual impairment classification: Towards an athlete-centred classification system - https://www.ulster.ac.uk/doctoralcollege/find-a-phd/343211
This is an inter-disciplinary PhD within the Faculty of Life & Health Sciences between the Optometry and Vision Research Group and the Sport & Exercise Science Research Institute and would suit students with a range of academic backgrounds.

This is a development from a UEFA research fund in 2016-17 to explore the agency of disabled supporters in affecting change in European football.

This is an inter-disciplinary PhD shared between Sport & Exercise Science and the Business and Management Research Institutes would suit students with a range of backgrounds from sport, marketing and communications, and public health.

Funding details
Two funding opportunities are available for candidates who secure the position.
Vice Chancellors Research Scholarships (VCRS)
The scholarships will cover tuition fees and a maintenance award of £14,777 per annum for three years (subject to satisfactory academic performance). Applications are invited from UK, European Union and overseas students.
DFE
The scholarship will cover tuition fees at the Home rate and a maintenance allowance of £ 14,777 per annum for three years. EU applicants will only be eligible for the fees component of the studentship (no maintenance award is provided). For Non EU nationals the candidate must be "settled" in the UK (this means living in the UK continuously for three years whilst not being registered as a student).
Graduate Research Programme
