Three year funded PhD Studentship on Social Norms and Conspiracy Theory Belief at Staffordshire University.
The Staffordshire Centre for Psychological Research is pleased to welcome applications for a three-year funded PhD Studentship on a project to investigate the relationship between perceived social norms and beliefs in conspiracy theories. The PhD project broadly aims to investigate whether perceived social norms and normative feedback may reduce the impact of conspiracy beliefs on health-related behaviours (such as the reluctance to vaccinate). The PhD project will be supervised by Dr Daniel Jolley, Dr Robert Dempsey and Dr Rachel Povey. Applicants would normally be expected to have a good Masters degree and a degree in a relevant subject (e.g. Psychology).
Further details about this exciting PhD opportunity and details on the application process can be found via the InPsych blog (http://blogs.staffs.ac.uk/inpsych/2017/07/10/funded-phd-opportunity-in-the-psychology-department-at-staffordshire-university/) and Staffordshire University’s website.
