SENIOR RESEARCHER: SOCIETY/ENVIRONMENT INTERACTIONS
INTEGRATED LAND USE SYSTEMS GROUP
A position has become available for a senior researcher to continue developing their own research interests in the general area of interactions between society and environment, particularly in relation to policies affecting communities and land use. The appointee will also have responsibility for coordinating an interdisciplinary team of geographers, social scientists, economists, natural scientists and modellers working on the protection and enhancement of landscapes and rural communities in Scotland.
A post-graduate degree in a relevant subject, a strong track record in publications and grant-winning, and a willingness to operate as a team player in the management of integrated land use research at the Institute, are essential. A commitment to collaborative, inter-disciplinary approaches to science, and experience in project coordination, are also highly desirable. Experience in policy-relevant research would be an advantage.
Starting salary within the range £36,000 - £42,000 per annum with excellent employee benefits.
