Dear all,
Don't forget that the deadline for submissions of abstracts to the
Sixteenth Century Society Conference is March 31. The conference will
be held Oct. 14-17 in Montreal, Canada, and it has long been a
stimulating venue for papers both on Spenser and on the Sidneys and
their circle. As the coordinator of English Lit. submissions this
year, I already have several good abstracts on Sidney and Spenser in
hand, but I'd love to see more! Submissions aren't, of course, limited
just to Spenser and Sidney. If you are currently working on
something other than Sidney or Spenser at the moment and your subject
fits within the scope of the conference (circa 1485-1660), please
consider submitting an abstract on your current work. SCSC has long
benefited from great papers on a variety of subjects from members of
this list.
To submit an abstract, just go to
http://www.sixteenthcentury.org/conf_proposals.shtml . For those of
you planning to attend, I'll look forward to seeing you in October!
Thanks,
Scott
