Please be advised of the following vacancy at Middlesbrough Council:
Records Management Officer
Grade and Salary. Grade J Scale Pt: 31-33 (£26,276 – £27,849)
Based in the Members Resources Team you will assist in providing records management advice and guidance to Council departments/sections and assist in the development, promotion and implementation of records management best practice within the authority in accordance with ISO 15489 under the guidance of the Senior Resources Officer.
You should have a qualification in, or related to, information / records management and possess excellent organisational and project management skills.
Practical experience of implementing records management practices, assisting with conducting information audits, advising others on the retention and destruction of records and building corporate file plans is essential.
As part of the Resources Team you will also assist in the provision of support services to Elected Members and aid the Freedom of Information Officer in relation to the codes of practice and the Council’s ‘Publication Scheme’
