Engineering Project Manager: Dishes

The Square Kilometre Array (SKA) is a multi-purpose radio telescope that
will play a major role in answering key questions in modern astrophysics
and cosmology. It will be one of a small number of cornerstone
observatories around the world that will provide astrophysicists and
cosmologists with a transformational view of the Universe.
Reporting to the SKA Project Manager you will be responsible for the overall
management, control and delivery of the SKA Dish Element. We are looking for
an experienced project manager with a proven track record in the management
and delivery of medium to large projects with a high degree of technical
complexity to manage the SKA Aperture Array Element. You must also have a
University degree in Physics or Engineering, or related and relevant field;
2) demonstrated knowledge of international project management standards and
the application thereof, 3) strong ability to lead, supervise, and evaluate
staff from diverse cultural backgrounds, and 4) membership of, or
eligibility for membership of, recognised national and international project
management institutes.
