I've agreed to organise the Power, Politics and Change stream for the 2009 Operational Research Conference and am now seeking presenters for the stream. You'll find below an indication of my vision for the stream, which I'm sure you'll agree is pretty broad! I was wondering whether you'd care to contribute?
The Conference will be held at the University of Warwick from 8th - 10th September 2009. You'll find more details at the ORS website www.orsoc.org.uk<http://www.orsoc.org.uk>
All titles submitted by mid April are included in the Invitation Programme. The Society have asked me to point out that all speakers (including Keynote Speakers) must pay their registration fees to attend.

Power, Politics & Change
The stream provides a space for the exploration of issues concerned with impact and achievement of change in organisational and inter-organisational contexts. Contributions both with a practical and with a theoretical focus will provide new ways of thinking about the management of change, especially by and for OR workers acting as change agents. The development of commitment to action - whether agreed or conflictual - by multiple agents will be a special focus for this stream, thereby embracing such techniques as game/drama theory and agent-based modelling, as well as including consideration of group decision and negotiation. Practical applications may come, for instance, from the military, commercial or business worlds, as well as from those troublesome settings (e.g. public-private partnerships) where contrasting cultures meet.

Do let me know if you're intending to take part. If you are then you'll need to submit your abstract through the ORS system (see the website).
I do hope you'll decide to join us
Best wishes
Jim
