Ok, I've re-run the instructions for the manual build and adjusted them to
eliminate the problem in the build instructions, and I've created a page
for the RPM version of the module too.

Ok, Chrome has deprecated the use of the command-line parameters since
Chrome v41. The documentation has been updated. That the JSON file does
not work is a bit disconcerting, although my basic file just worked...
Granted, it was from Scientific Linux to Scientific Linux.
Have you checked that KeepAlive is switched to On on the server (in
httpd.conf)? That's what's stumped us before... On RHEL platforms it is
OFF by default, on Debian platforms it is ON. Although, if you've made it
work with Firefox, then KeepAlive will be on or it would fail.
