Dear Colleagues,
Ultracold Quantum Molecular Systems Group leaded by Dr Michał Tomza at
the Faculty of Physics of the University of Warsaw in Poland -
http://quantmol.uw.edu.pl - is looking for two postdoctoral
researchers in the field of theoretical AMO physics / quantum
chemistry.
Positions are offered within the project „Quantum engineering of novel
ultracold complex molecular systems: from diatomic to polyatomic
molecules” funded by the Foundation for Polish Science. Successful
candidates will use and develop methods of electronic structure and
quantum scattering theory to investigate properties of novel ultracold
quantum molecular systems based on highly magnetic atoms or polyatomic
molecules.
Postdoctoral researchers are expected to have experience in
application of electronic structure and/or scattering theory to
molecular systems, confirmed by scientific publications. Experience
with lanthanide atoms and three-body calculations in hyperspherical
coordinates will be especially appreciated. Employment of the first
postidc can start on February 1 or later and second one on July 1 or
later with a competitive salary of ~2000 EUR/moth after taxes.
- Deadline of application for the first position (starting in winter):
November 30, 2019
- Deadline of application for the second position (starting in
summer): April 30, 2020
The University of Warsaw is the best university in Poland and the
Faculty of Physics is the best physics department in Central Europe
and Top75 in World according to Shanghai Subject Rankings 2018 and
2019. Warsaw is a modern and dynamic city with very attractive
academic, cultural, and business opportunities.
Best regards,
Michał Tomza
