Any time, Luciano, its a pleasure.
By the way, the Feast Day of Charles the Martyr (King Charles 1) is January 30th.
Thanks everyone, so far, who has responded to my query on the 1752 calendar change in the British Isles and North America. I appreciate the answers, and think I understand much better now, especially as to the reasons for the corrections.
I'm sure, as Francine suggests, that the change must have caused some consternation, especially among the poorer and less educated, and those who kept time by the cycles of the land.
Good wishes,
Graham.

'"The secret of a joyful life is to live dangerously." A joyful life is an active life - it is not a dull, static state of so-called happiness. Full of the burning fire of enthusiasm, anarchic, revolutionary, energetic, daemonic, Dionysian, filled to overflowing with the terrific urge to create - such is the life of the man who risks safety and happiness for the sake of growth and happiness.'
