Call for presentations:
" Media and Imagination "
Following last years 10th Anniversary, presentations are now invited on any aspect of media practice research and teaching for this year's annual symposium to be hosted by Lincoln School of Media Centre for Media Practice .
Whilst we encourage contributions from speakers using media across all disciplines, central to the symposium will be the theme " Media and Imagination " and proposals referencing this are particularly welcome.
Delegates wishing to discuss their practice-based research are invited to present/ screen / exhibit work in progress as well as completed projects. Topics for consideration could include, but are not restricted to:
* Diverse Imagination - projects and productions in media practice across a range of genres.
* Imaginative Interpretations - speculative views or responses to cultural issues / production / media phenomena.
* Defining Imagination - work engaging in insights about the phenomenon of imagination.
* Imaginative Strategies - how imagination has been, or may be, applied, stimulated, directed or handled in pedagogy and the creative process.
* Imaginative Perspectives - viewpoints on a range of themes and issues such as genre, cultures, societies, archive, identity, narrative, non narrative, media collaborations, convergence - including the past, present & future visions of media and media practice.
Please send an abstract of not more than 250 words for a 20 minute presentation to the University of Lincoln Conference Office. Mail to:

The deadline for submissions is Monday 26th April.
This will be a one day symposium taking place on a Friday.
The conference fee will be £50 waged, £25 concessions.
