Beginners Renaissance Latin: two-week intensive course
Warburg Institute, University of London: 9 - 20 September 2019
The course is designed for beginners and focuses on Latin texts from the fourteenth to the seventeenth century, drawing on a wide range of sources - the sophisticated Latin of the humanists, various forms of technical Latin (medical, philosophical, theological, etc.), and macaronic jumbles of Latin and the vernacular. One of the principal aims of the course is to help students develop the ability to read primary sources in the original Latin.

Afternoon (2.00-3.00pm): supervised reading and translation of Latin texts
Registration and payment:

All others: early bird rate by Friday 2 August 2019: £200 | standard rate from 3 August: £225.
