Hi everyone,
Mike Saunders, Director of Digital Media here at Kew, recently published a new post on our Digital Adventures blog about open data in the context of science and biodiversity. I thought it might be of interest to some of you - considering recent discussions that have taken place in this group
Mike's particularly interested in what biodiversity data might be used for, by whom, and to what end. If we are able to create more opportunities for citizen scientists, experts and the public to engage together with this critically important data, could these projects help to further our understanding of the impending crisis that threatens biodiversity around the world? Likewise, could they help throw up new tools and services that make a real and practical difference?

Your comments and feedback are welcome as always...
Best,
Claire
