Perhaps if someone with too much time on their hands could compare the number of people who have submitted or responded to a request (i.e. the colleagues who have sought and received generous assistance from other colleagues) against the number of those who are too busy to hit the delete button occasionally or do a proper set of filtering rules (but not to email the list about it), we'd have some evidence one way or another... (we should ignore the silent majority in both cases as they are clearly too sensible to get involved either way) and why aren't they complaining about the jobs and journal duplicates? What is it about ILLs that generate such passion? And do you also demand that Waterstones only stocks items in which they are personally interested? EBM = Evidence Based Moaning perhaps?

Sorry, Friday mania seems to have caught me...

ps. I vote for not splitting the list. Again. Sigh.

Mark

The number of responses don't seem to warrant any change so far.

....perhaps we need a more scientific approach to this, if a decision is
going to be made on who actually posts a response....? Just a
thought....

> Please can you make that 12 in favour of splitting the list? Since
this discussion took place, and the reminder to use the correct message
header went out, there have been quite a few ILL requests sent to the
list that have been incorrectly badged, and which my mail filter has not
been able to pick up...
