Dear Colleagues,
Apologies for cross-posting and to those of you who are unable to reach London on the 10th.
Please find an open invite to the first International Library and Information Group International Quiz below *. This event will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Bring your friends, team up with your colleagues, challenge your rivals or just turn up on your own for a bit of professional networking.
For catering purposes, it would be much appreciated if you can let me know if you intend to attend.
Kind Regards
Doug
* Not all of the questions will be 'International', or indeed have anything to do with libraries, or even books....

*ILIG International Quiz*
On Wednesday, 10th December, 2008 ILIG will be celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, adopted by the UN's General Assembly
on 10th December 1948.
To mark the occasion, we are planning an end of year seasonal fun event at the Ewart Room, CILIP, 7 Ridgmount Street.
This will be based on an 'international' quiz including festive refreshments and plenty of time for networking.
Refreshment will be available from 17.30 while the quiz will start at 18.00; the event will finish promptly at 19.45
We are looking for teams of 3-5 people. A voluntary contribution of £5 per person, towards ILIG's charitable activities, would be kindly received.
To keep in with the theme of the evening, please try to make your team name a human rights related one. A small prize will be awarded to the winning team. Other prizes are also on offer, including one for the winners of the bonus
round.
Entry Deadline:
If you would like to enter a team, please contact Doug Knock
[log in to unmask] by 5pm Friday 5th December 2008 with:
1) Your team name (themed, remember?)
2) The names of your team members
If you don't have a team, don't panic! You can also contact Doug as an individual looking for a team and we will pair you up.
