Thanks, Tom. I stand corrected. However, I still feel that the LA's
definite non-union status shouldn't preclude it from addressing critically
remuneration/status at a national level, as our professional body (without
getting involved in individual cases, which WOULD denote trade union
activity). I'd certainly argue that there's been too much passivity and
laissez-faire acquiescence with the 'lot' of librarians- but this is
another issue. Keith.
