MJ poses an interesting question and I'm not sure I understand the precise
status of the Alliance myself. Is it open to new members from within or
outside of the RFID supplier community? I had assumed (perhaps wrongly) that
anyone supporting the standard could join?
The forming of an "Alliance" suggests something a bit more than just a
marketing exercise re-statement support for the standard. Especially as that
support was already given to BIC in January 2009 (by all except Bibliotheca
- who weren't present in the UK market in their own right at the time) so
what will be the role of the Alliance in the future?
It would be interesting to hear from any of the member companies - all of
whom I know subscribe to this list.
