Here at University of Bolton we are currently exploring the use of Big Blue Button (BBB) virtual classroom integrated within Moodle to deliver distance learning and student support. So far this approach seems to have great potential but we have encountered some technical issues. BBB in it's current version relies on Flash and Java technologies both of which are now considered security risks and therefore blocked by most browsers. Would be interested to know if anyone else out there uses BBB for distance learning/student support and how you manage technical requirements.
Tutors with the university are also making use of Skype for Business for hosting and recording student research presentations.
This something I would really like to explore so would be interested in joining/contributing to a webinar on webinar's!
