Dear all,
I wanted to thank again all the presenters and participants for joining
us at the end of May for the most recent Research Seminar on Prehistoric
Italy at the Institute of Archaeology, UCL, and helping to make this event
a success. It was wonderful to hear about and discuss all the exciting
new research on prehistoric Italy, on topics ranging from different
aspects of mortuary ritual to ancient trade.
We are now looking for an organiser of the next Prehistoric Italy Seminar.
Traditionally the seminar has been run as a biannual event, usually in
November and May, at various UK universities by postgrads as an informal
place to present and discuss current research in Italian prehistory. The
last few seminars have taken place at southern universities (Cambridge,
UCL), so ideally it would be wonderful to have the next instalment at a
more northerly location in order to widen participation. Dr. Mark Pearce
has kindly offered to host the next seminar at the Department of
Archaeology, University of Nottingham, if there would be a postgraduate
interested in organising it.
Please feel free to contact me ([log in to unmask]), Mark Pearce
([log in to unmask]), or John Robb([log in to unmask]) if you are
interested or if you would like more information.
Best wishes,
Jennifer Wexler
