We have a c19 volunteer rifle range in medieval parkland at Castle Bolton. The surviving stonework of the running deer target structures and the "commandants" observation building have recently been consolidated.
Also a 1859 range at Attermire for the Settle Volunteer Rifle Corp where the iron plate targets and the target butt still survive, somewhat altered by use in WW11 with armour piercing ammunition, as do some earthworks for 100- 800 yard shooting positions.
Further details available.
