But it is wonderful to work for a local authority where the HER officer
is treated (and paid) as more that just a data entry operative.

Why be afraid of being in a trust? We've done that since day 1 for26
years now. We agree a price under a service level agreement . And yes I
do have more fun cos as well as dc I have managed two huge European /
hlf funded projects, do loads of community related stuff and lots of
scope for creative thought! What's not to love? We can't be poacher and
game keeper as HS would intervene and anyway that would be
unprofessional
