Hi,
Isn't it possible for a single event for a period of time contain other activities within that timeframe.
cheers

What do other's think of the insistence on 'one investigative
technique'? How are these things really helpful to the user of the HER?
I've been given instructions on the same lines as Sylvina's for this. If
one archaeologist, in one day, does a piece of work on a discrete land
parcel (say 30m square) which involves field survey, standing building
recording and a trial trench [one of the most common 'events' we get up
here] then we only record it as a single event, not as three - and we'd
even include any documentary research. To record it as four different
events is seen as over-cluttering the HER with unnecessary records and a
waste of officer time.
