That would have fixed it Greig, which is why it passed testing.
the minimalist answer is to shut down dcache core
/etc/init.d/dcache-core stop
/opt/d-cache/install/install.sh
/etc/init.d/dcache-core start
And you should have a working server again. I object to this, but it is dcache policy sorry.
