I completely agree and have spent some time in recent years designing
electronic form templates which are almost entirely completed by the
clinical system and automatically contain information like patient
telephone number and repeat medication.
Ultimately I worked on behalf of the LMC with the local pathology
network to ensure their newest forms worked this way from the outset and
I believe the majority of practices in Kent now print their forms from
electronic templates.
