*Apologies in Advance for Cross-Posting*
Dear List,
I am currently working on a senior-level undergraduate research paper
dealing with Johannes Ronge's foundation of the German Catholic sect
coinciding with the Trier Pilgrimage of 1844. I have recently read some of
Jonathan Sperber's _Popular Catholicism_, a couple of modern sources dealing
with the 1848-9 revolutions, and an assortment of journal articles. I'm now
looking for some primary source material, particularly Ronge's letters. I
am at a small United States university, and so our resources are fairly
limited. My searches of various library catalogues have yielded some
collection's of Ronge's letters, but all seem to be in nineteenth-century
editions, and I doubt I'd be able to obtain them through Inter-Library Loan.
Do any of you perchance know of a more recent collection in which some of
Ronge's letters--particularly his "Offener Brief"--might appear? Any
further recommended recent and relatively available sources pertaining to
Ronge, the German Catholic movement, and/or the Pilgrimage of Trier (in
either English or German) would also be helpful.
Thanks very much for considering my request. Have a good week,
~Seth Wilson~
