Hi Yeun Kim,
I cannot say for certain because it is difficult to get versions of cuda older than 8.0 on Ubuntu 16.04. Truthfully, I have broken my graphical interface many times playing with nvidia and cuda software, so I would generally suggest being very careful when changing this software on your computer. What I can say is that the eddy_openmp version of the centos precompiled binaries do work on Ubuntu (just double checked for you), so my guess would be that the eddy_cuda ones do too if you have a setup that will work with an older version of cuda.
Best,
Ben
