Cinema and Migration at the 45th Annual Convention Northeast Modern Language Association (NeMLA)
This panel aims to explore cinema across borders and in comparative perspective. In an age of global modernity, viewing the migrant experience from the perspective of a single national culture is restrictive. Submissions that engage with themes of exile, displacement, immigrants, emigrants, flows of migration, or people who do not fit within legitimate borders and boundaries are welcome. All theoretical, methodological, and cultural approaches to the 'border' experience are welcome. 150-300 word abstract to [log in to unmask] by September 30
