Everyone has some accountability for how they behave on a list. We are all
members of this list community and of other communities -- academic,
activist, or other -- and, to varying degrees, we are accountable to one
another. The list is archived, and so it is public. As in other public, or
published, documents, I think we are accountable for what we say to and
about one another. But over e-mail, I think tone is especially important; we
could be a bit more generous to one another over this list and still have
room for debate and dissent.

I know personal pride is at stake here. But it is up
to the members to save
the list. Don't let those who have no accountability
to anything or anyone
take away a valuable source of discussion and
interaction.
Wishing the list the best of luck,
Lurking Chee Wee
