As far as I can see internal websites are covered, but you probably have additional tools to protect the privacy of those users (e.g. contracts of employment, rolling out browsers with privacy tools, ...). So on the ICO's recommendation of looking at the most privacy-affecting cookies first, I'm planning to look at our external site first, then apply such lessons as seem relevant to the internal ones.
