An exploratory research study has been conducted by Dr Holiday, Professor Elspeth Guild and Professor Valsamis Mitsilegas, QMUL, in collaboration with the Criminal Cases Review Commission, examining the impact of a 2016 Court of Appeal case on access to appeal by refugees for offences of irregular entry and stay. The research was funded by Queen Mary University of London.
Join Dr Holiday and Professor Elspeth Guild for discussion on the findings and implications for the criminal justice system. A research report is available on the CCRC website (https://ccrc.gov.uk/research-at-the-ccrc/published-research-on-the-ccrc/ and https://bit.ly/2qI1Fhp).
