Hi Patricia,

Thanks for your reply and apologies for the delay in mine. We have been busy juggling the planning for the Windrush/NHS@70 event alongside plans for Black History Month. I now write with updates on both…

Please find below the flyer for our Windrush/NHS Tea Party. Feel free to circulate this to your contacts.

[cid:[log in to unmask]]

Also, we have updated the BAME Network intranet pages with information on our call for contributions to Black History Month Events. The details are available here<https://intranet.birmingham.ac.uk/collaboration/equality/Areas-and-themes/staff/groups-and-support/BAME-Network/bhm2018.aspx> and will be included in the forthcoming edition of Buzz Bitesize next week. We would welcome your contribution, so, as and when you have time, please send an email to the address provided with details of your exhibition and/or any other contributions you may wish to make.

Best wishes,
Lorraine

Hi Lorraine,

Thanks for getting in touch. I look forward to hearing more from you on the Windrush event. I'll happily circulate the flyer once you have it - do include the flyer within the body of your email though, as many email lists won't take attachments.

All the best,
Pat

Hi Patricia,

It was lovely to meet you (albeit briefly) last Friday at the launch of your exhibition at the mac. I was with Garry Stewart and my sister Donna. We mentioned that we are co-hosting an event marking the 70th anniversary of Windrush and the NHS by celebrating the contributions of Black Caribbean nurses to the NHS on Saturday 16th June. Although I know you’re unable to make it, if you don’t mind, I’ll share the flyer with you once it is finalised in case you have colleagues who may be interested in coming along.

I also mentioned that the BAME network<https://intranet.birmingham.ac.uk/collaboration/equality/Areas-and-themes/staff/groups-and-support/BAME-Network/BAME-Network.aspx> is coordinating the programme of Black History Month events across the university and it would be great to be able to host your exhibition within our programme of events. We’re planning to put out a call for contributions in the next few weeks via Buzz Bitesize and other channels, so we’ll be in touch on that soon.

If you have any queries in the meantime, please do drop me a line.

Best wishes and have a nice weekend,
Lorraine
