Deae members,
I am very interested in application Bayesian statistics to projects of
public health and just start to learn the use of Winbugs. I would like to
know the way for calculating a Beta prior and Gamma prior based on the
quantifying expert opinion. Now I have two problems.
1. If mode=0.12 and 95% sure<0.30 , then dbeta(3.283, 17.744)
My problem is how to calculate to get the result of Abeta=3.283 and
Bbeta=17.744 ?
2. If use Median of 95th percentile of prevalence and the mode of the
prevalence=0.30 and 99% sure this number is <0.50 , then dgamma
(4.524,0.387)
My problem is how to calculate to get the result of Agamma=4.524 and
Bgamma=0.387 ?
Many thanks for your help.
