The next date for project presentations is Thursday, 22 May at
3pm. As usual, it will be held in the seminar room of 32 Torrington
Square. At the moment, we have one new (and very cool)
project. Please send any others to me by Monday, 19 May if you'd
like to do a presentation this month.
It's worth noting that there is very good scanner availability and
that the scanner is all setup and producing good, high quality
data. All of the essential kits and systems work well, although very
specific needs will no doubt continue to be developed as they
arise. So if you know anyone interested/planning on doing some
scanning work, please encourage them to scan at BUCNI.
In a related vein, we are going to initiate a new meeting this month
for anyone interested in either sharing some of their BUCNI results
and/or interested in hearing what's happening at BUCNI. The goal is
to get 1-3 groups to present their data in whatever form it's in and
provide a forum for getting feedback, suggestions, etc. So
preliminary results are most welcome as are more finished results --
it's up to the person presenting. Presentations will be about 10mins
with a discussion to follow. This will be held in the same room as
the Project Presentations but will start at 1:30 so there is a short
break between data presentations and project presentations. if you
are interested in doing one of these presentations next thursday,
please email me to let me know. At the moment, there is one group
presenting but we'd like at least 1 more.
Thanks very much
Joe
