Dear friends and colleagues,
We are pleased to announce that the Irish Quaternary Association (IQUA) Spring Meeting and AGM, is to be held on Saturday the 14th of April, 2012 in the School of Geography, Archaeology and Palaeoecology, Queen’s University
Belfast, Northern Ireland.
The meeting will comprise a series of short (20 minute) talks focusing on new and ongoing Quaternary research taking place in Ireland and abroad, and is open to all. Prof. Paula Reimer of the School of Geography, Archaeology and Palaeoecology, QUB will deliver a keynote address entitled: "Reliability of radiocarbon dating mollusc shells from Irish sites". Registration will commence at 9.30am and is free to all. Tea/coffee and lunch will be provided for attendees.
The Spring Meeting will be followed by the IQUA AGM. The AGM is an important opportunity to get involved in arranging and influencing IQUA activities for the year ahead.
Following the Spring Meeting and AGM, a wine reception will be held in the School of Geography, Archaeology and Palaeoecology which is kindly sponsored by the 14CHRONO Centre for all attendees of the meeting.
