We are thinking of using just one language pack because of the maintenance tasks you have described. You can find out who are suing non default LP in the database.

Subject: Bb9.1 Language Pack Changes
Has anyone else tried making global changes to their Language Pack? I wonder if we are missing something obvious.
We run units, not courses and want to set up communities, not organisations, so we spent a week and a half changing those names. We are now told that, with a new version of the language pack, we have to do the whole thing again, because the old version of the LP we uploaded is cauding system-wide problems. Fair enough.
So now we download a zip, run a difference task and this will reveal all the files with a difference, which we must then edit by hand..... we have identified 113 files, some with a few lines of difference, some with dozens of lines. It has taken so far best part of a morning to re-edit 9 files.... and I have one very unhappy team member.
If this is the situation, why on earth would it be possible to edit the Langauge Pack in the first place? It looks from here like we should have to edit all 113 files every time there is a Language Pack upgrade..... unless you know otherwise....
