A few years ago our Art & Design department moved to a building about 10-15 minutes walk away from the main campus. The students tend to stay in the art building, where they have lockers, tables, equipment, facilities etc and not really engage with the library as it is perceived as too much hassle to walk over to the main campus where the library is. We have been exploring ways in which we might promote the library more to art students but if anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them, as I have only recently taken over as the librarian for this subject.
