Registration begins at 10.00. Sessions will start at 10.30, and finish at
16.30.
This course is for anyone interested in exploring digital preservation
issues and who are hoping to find some practical solutions
Aims of the event
· To more widely raise awareness of the issues involved in digital
preservation
· To share best practice in finding practical solutions
· To consider the technical issues
· To explore the options available for individual and regional
approaches
Speakers include
David Thomas, The National Archives
Adrian Brown, The National Archives
Vanessa Marshall, National Preservation Office
Nick Clark, South East Film and Video Archive and David Lee,
Wessex Film and Sound Archive
Other speakers will concentrate on local perspectives
The event will be chaired by Heather Needham, Hampshire Record Office
Fee: £30, SoA members, £40 non members.
Includes tea/coffee but not lunch. Arrangements have been made for lunch,
approx. £5 on the day.
You will receive a SoA Certificate of Attendance on completing the course.
