Graduate Trainee Archivist (B1)
Salary: £24,580 (pro rata)
Fixed Term Appointment (11 months)
National Records of Scotland (NRS) is currently seeking applications from graduates intending to pursue an archives career to join our Public Services Branch. The post-holder will work in the Historical Search Room, responding to enquiries made by members of the public in person or via telephone and correspondence.
Eligibility:
· You will have an honours degree, in history or a related subject.
· You must be looking for pre-course work experience before applying for a postgraduate course in archives administration. During your time in post you will be expected to apply for a place on one of the full-time university archive diploma courses. This vacancy is also open to graduates who are applying for or are currently undertaking a postgraduate distance-learning course and require work experience as part of their course.
